DefaultThe Muppets

Has anyone else seen the new Muppet Movie yet?

I took my friend and her two boys (8 and 5) to it on Sunday. It was so good. So many clever nods to the original series and films, and also.. MUPPETS!!!

I highly recommend the movie for any and all ages.

For me. This wasn't a "I need to take kids as an excuse to see it" situation, I just wanted to share it with them

when I was a kid, oh so long ago the Muppets were on at 5 pm. coincidentally so was the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and no one liked the Muppets in my house. In a typical family of disfunction, we had a TV in the kitchen, and ALWAYS had MTM on during this time. Always.

I would race though dinner to catch the last 5 minutes most of the time. sometimes I lucked out and we had dinner early, or later but 5 pm was pretty much a set time. Pigs in Space, Beaker and Miss Piggy (Hiya!) were the bomb !

Might have to dig out all my Muppet stuff in the basement & see what the next generations are willing to pay for them LOL
I don't have what I used too, but in the old Palisades Toy line (long discountinued) I still have at least 2 complete band sets complete with the stages & all members, the Muppet lab, with Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker & the other weird scientist guy & the kitchen set with the Swedish Chef, but of course along with a few other misc ones yet.
All brand new sealed but of course LOL
I'm not a Toy Geek at all LOL Mark

Despite only being from the last ten years its scary what some are being asked for on Ebay.
Certain figures are going for a couple hundred each in some cases as are the early playsets.
Cheers Mark
