DefaultCO2 Chamber

Here is the CO2 chamber I constructed, not quite complete but you get the idea. (I hope)

Oh wow, I was planning on just using a small plastic container. That looks pretty neat and a lot of work :P

As long as it works, should be fine. I know its not complete but I believe you'll need a little hole on top. I'm not sure if you are covering that square opening with glass/whatnot. Other than that, it looks cool!

Yea the plastic container route is definitely the easier one. There is actually plexi riveted/siliconed in that hole, and there is a smalle hole on the other side for the exhaust pipe to go (I actually just checked in another window and it looks like a dent lol) Thanks Allie

Depending on what kind of setup you are using you can use dry ice, paintball cylinders or lease/rent a larger tank from either a welding supply/pop supply shop. I have even heard of people using vinegar and baking soda but I figure that would stink up the rodents.

I just googled it and it seems fairly easy to find locally. Being as dry ice is substantially colder than a freezer I can't see it keeping too well, it might delay the inevitable but probably not for very long.

Most places that sell compressed gases (for example welding supply places) sell dry ice also. You can get it in two forms, larger cubes or smaller pellets. The larger cubes will last longer, but will still evaporate within 48-72 hours. The only way to keep it from evaporating is to store it under high pressure, which would be rather difficult to do in ones home.

@Richard, haha I see it now! Perfect You must've been bored. Nice crafty skills by the way. I would never be able to make something like that lol~

Has anyone used the paintball CO2 tanks? How many times of usage do you get out of one tank? (mention tank size)
