I don't go often, but anytime I have been to Pisces, within the last year, they usually have one or two BRB's. So they should know what one looks like by now, so I would assume it is that. They might just be getting the age wrong. Or mabey the size is just being underestimated. It seems very common for people to misjudge the length of a snake. ALso I don't know what other reptiles you have but you did mention you got a BP so a snake the is more slender like the BRB might seem more teeny to you by comparison to a chubbier BP if it is close to the same length.

I can definitely vouch for them not being overly difficult to take care of, especially with the proper enclosure.

You just have to be careful not to overfeed, as they will pretty much always eat, much more than they require in fact.

Mine has never has never struck at me, but there is something daunting considering his eyes are almost completely black.

Yep it certainly looked like a BRB to me. It was in shed and curled up under the hide so I didn't bother to ask them to take it out. What I could see of it did look pretty small, newborn type size so if it is indeed as old as you were told then it wasn't being fed very well before they got it. It was a fair petstore price, but naturally higher than what one would likely see at the shows. It wasn't too long ago that they sold at the shows for that sort of price range too.

Some Boids do not eat anything for the first few months or so either, Mark

Yeah it certainly seems a lot more likely. Still a little small but not too out of line.

Wait till the show, you'll get a way better snake for a much better deal. Owners that can tell you all about them, no guessing. Just have a little patience.
