DefaultAm I a Real Herper now?

Morning!

Had to come by and chatter a bit about my newest addition. Been wanting a snake for… oh?... 13 years. Long time to wait, but ah well. It’s all good now.

Someone pointed me over to Triple R Corns when I was inquiring about some things, and found exactly what I was looking for. A beautiful female Butter (het. Motley as a bonus) with a lovely washed out pattern. She was full grown, a lovely size and was priced at exactly what I had saved up. Just so neat how it all lined up like that.

After working a few details out, and finding out Rebecca wasn’t in town until later this year, lovehatepassion graciously offered to pick her up for me on her way back from Vancouver. So while she was coming back from B.C., I was able to come down to CRE this weekend and pick up my enclosures from Greg (Thanks again! They’re awesome).

Needless to say, I am over the moon about this girl. She’s such a nice size, beautiful and has that lovely docile personality. A little shy after her trip, but that’s to be expected. She’s settling in now and I’ll get a weight on her in several days once she’s a bit calmer.
She’s such a lovely girl. Couldn’t be happier!

Nice snake, but not until you get bitten

Got a great bite from a Tokay before. Lasted 20 minutes and cut off circulation. I think I can check that off my list of qualifications. Haha.

Lol, so those are the main criteria? Own a herptile and be bitten by one?
Nice snake- she's got a lovely color.
