T.A.R.A.S. MEETING MINUTES
Date: August 18, 2008



ATTENDANCE:

Financials:

Bank Account Balance approximately $12,000.00


Miscellaneous;

T.A.R.A.S. Demo at the Calgary Humane Society went really well.
T.A.R.A.S. will be holding a second Demo on August 20th. 2008.
Discussed having a BBQ September 20th. after the T.A.R.A.S. Show and Sale.
Linsey Stinson will be looking into pricing.
Calgary Humane Society will have a display table at the T.A.R.A.S. Fall Show and Sale.
Our next Bulletin will have a section titled ask the Vet. All the questions will be answered by Dr. Materi.
Voted yes to book a table at the next Spring 2009 Pet Expo Show.
The T.A.R.A.S. table will be free T.A.R.A.S. just has to pay for the electricity.
Meeting members voted yes to having a get together and BBQ at Joe Villebrun`s
residence on September 6th.2008. Joe will put all the information on the Forum.
The T.A.R.A.S. tri-fold is repaired and Linsey Stinson will be putting all new literature and pictures on it. The tri-fold will be all finished for the upcoming Red Deer Reptile Show and Sale.
Linsey and Chris Stinson will be representing T.A.R.A.S. at the Red Deer Reptile Show and Sale on August 23 – 24 2008.


Advertising:

T.A.R.A.S. ad will be running in the Bargain Finder starting August 21st. for a month.
Darren Warling was not able to contact Used Calgary.
Jason Clevett is looking into some more pricing for advertising on the City of Calgary
Buses.
T.A.R.A.S. will be contacting the Breakfast Show (TV Show) to schedule a date to make an appearance to advertise our upcoming Fall Show and Sale.


Upcoming Show and Tell:

September 15, 2008 - Steve Raffaele will be showing Geckos.

Show and Tell

A great big Thank You to Joe Villebrun for a fantastic and very informative Show and Tell.
Joe showed a Vietnamese Giant Centipede, Giant Cherry Legs Centipede, Green Ring Leg Centipede and a Tanzanian Flag Leg Centipede.
They sure were some very beautiful and interesting creatures.
Thank You so much Joe for sharing your knowledge and some of your very unusual collection will us.
