    Default Children's Python Eggs!

Well, I guess things got busy with the school term ending and the spring expo that just passed and therefore I didn't find time to post my first clutch of the season. On April 1st I found Sigyn, one of my female Children's Pythons wrapped around a nice pile of eggs. She laid 16 eggs, 2 of which were clearly duds. Over incubation one has moulded and one never had veins which leaves 12 eggs that seem to be good. I was very stoked about this and am expecting the eggs to hatch in about a weeks time. When I candle the eggs I can see the babies moving around and over time they are growing.

Today my other female CP, Seven, laid her eggs as well. She laid 13 eggs, all of which appear to be good thus far and have veins. Her eggs are noticeably larger than the other eggs, which I guess is no surprise as the snake herself is noticeably larger than my other Children's Pythons.

Anyways, I'm very happy and can't wait for egg-laying to continue!

I posted a couple blog entries if anyone wants to follow!

Best of luck to everyone with the egg-laying season... whether it's just starting for you or is well on its way!

    Thanks, guys.
Having eggs in the incubator is the best feeling ever.
Aside from watching them hatch, that is!

Knowing that the first clutch will hatch soon has me very excited!
