    Default Wandering garter.

    Dear Friends,

I found the first snake of this season, a wandering garter snake, sunning at the mouth of its`den. The poor creature was covered in dried mud, cold and very lethargic. Having a little water, I cleaned him up and returned him to the den. I checked another site, but there was no activity there. Things are happening fast as last night, I heard my first chorus frog.

    All the best,

    John, Brooks.

Nice photo, thanks for sharing John. A very underappreciated species even within Thamnophis enthusiasts.
