I would suggest one of two avenues of action:
1) Perhap just drop it. You're back at work, (hopefully) your son is healthy again, and the inspector is no longer giving you grief.
1.a)If this is a regular problem after seeing his father, perhaps you need to contact Alberta Family Services. Skip to 2.a).
2) If you were to pursue it, this inspector is a road block. You would have to contact above him and make an official complaint to someone that has to listen because it is there job (not saying the inspector's job isn't too, but in his mind he has dealt with it). Google Alberta Health or perhaps you have documentation that lists the head office or other more appropriate contact.
2.a) Buy a caseload of Tylenol because you will need it.
