However Mark I do agree with you on the size thing. I always laugh everytime I see the add in the classifieds section where the the seller claiming the animals are huge yet the biggest one is less than 3000g. IMO thats average size. 4500g plus is getting big, 5000-6000g is huge.
And another note. Yet another breeder having better success with an ARS metal racks and bins than with Sterilite tubs.

As of late maybe, the topic of breeding BPs & other morph animals too small/young has been discussed on multiple forums, literally 100s of times Ryan if not 1000s LOL
Run some searches you will find tons of threads or should.
Those that choose to set the bar as low as possible will do so despite what others have to say about it as its very profitable to do so afterall.
Some of the bigger "breeders" have been doing so for so long & spewing their BS to so many newbies now that this new generation of morph breeders thinks they are following acceptable standards, when in fact they are all just taking the fastest easiest route for themselves which of course is not the best route when it comes to animals health & welfare at all.
Like seriously breeding male BPs at 6 months & 500g & females at 1000g around 1.5 years old, sure you can breed the crap out of them if you have little to no concern about their longtiviety as you plan on dumping them as fast as they start dumping their first clutches that produce the next desired morph to powerfeed & breed the crap out of while the markets still holding for them.
Many of these "breeders" do not even participate in forums other than too post pics of their morph animals, the same pics used in sales sections & classifieds to market them.
They do not want to get into discussions of breeding ethics or lack of as it does not concern them & can make folks look at them negatively, what concerns them is pumping out morphs ASAP & marketing them ASAP.
Many folks like myself that preach this stuff continually get tired of wasting time having it fall on deaf ears as many "breeders" just don't give a rats arse or having newbies that have never bred anything that have only ever kept one or maybe two species telling others off as they know best because the morph breeder they dropped a few G with told them different & to wait an extra year or 2 would mean no quick return on their "investments" & they don't want to risk losing money afterall.
Nuff Said Mark
P.S. how about those metal racks!
