    Default Indentification Help

    Hi,

I was just wondering if someone could help with the identification of this little guy. The original owner was no longer able to take care of it, and we just want to make sure we give him/her the proper care.

    Thanks for the help!

I agree. Reeves are the only "three keeled" carapace turtles of that age common in the pet trade at this moment.

There is a decent caresheet to start your husbandry research at www.chelonia.org.

I don't think it's a mud turtle. The head shape is all wrong. This can easily be determined with a plastron image.
