Very very successful weekend. ERAS owes for ½ cost of raffle ticket printing. Next year Jim and Greg were planning on running the raffle differently which make it easier for all involved.
Future Shows, Future Show Dates:
Mandie will look at availability for the Bonnavista location for spring. Preferred dates April 20/21 or May 4/5. Vote was passed to use this venue for our spring show and resume back at Midsun for Fall 2013 / Spring 2014. Jess has paperwork to fully book Midsun.
Bulletin
Vote was passed to use Miranda printing to get printed copies of the bulletin prior to the show. Approximate cost is $360.
Webmaster work required
Lyra will contact Jason in regards to website banners, what size we need, resolution etc. We will also ask about the tapa talk integration.
Fall Show items:
- Previous meeting vote was passed up to $500 for show supplies – we need table skirting, tape, garbage bags and a calculator. Andrea will purchase on Friday.
- Postering!! Everyone needs to try and amp up the postering around the city. Please take posters and hit wherever you can!
- Heather is doing the online advertising again this year. Rob’s Kijiji ad was very successful getting some new faces around the table.
- Kyle will arrange the Panago pizza order – vote was passed for 40 pizzas including gluten free and veg options. Andrea/Glyn will pickup drinks and desert from costco.
- Media contacts are going well. We have a few little things lined up over the weekend to help get the word out. Reminder if anyone is contacted by Media personnel send them to Andrea for contact.
- Kyle (Volunteer Coordinator) says we have some coverage but could really use more hands on deck. If anyone knows of people capable of volunteering let him know.
- Vote was passed to ask the girls from Midsun to put up the big sign along the street- vote was passed to give them up to $50 in giftbasket (starbucks?)
- Vote was passed to book the Calgary Sun 1/4 page ad for $610.00+gst
- One of our vendors was concerned with the size restrictions placed. We will let Dr. Eva know that for cham size of 2” as long as the animals are healthy we need better guidelines on what to pass.
- Vote was passed to run a vendor table raffle. One ticket will be included in the paying tables vendor guide. A second raffle will be run at $5/ticket
- Note to the board we owe Kelley with Ectothermic a $30 refund as he overpaid on Karelo for table fees.
- Concerns with the 162nd magnet signs displaying incorrect information – Andrea will contact vendor and see what is happening.
