Yes, the rattlesnakes are definately moving to their denning sites. Today, I saw 3 Prairie rattlesnakes at one site and 1 snake at another site. I was hoping to find that Bullsnakes and garters were sharing the same sites, but that must wait for another day. Conditions weren`t the best for snake herping because first thing in the morning there was a cool breeze then later as the day wore on, the velocity of the wind increased. And there`s no doubt about it, snakes don`t like windy days.
