    Default Spider ID/ free

Came across an intriguing a on kijiji, which also made me curious. They found a pretty cool looking little guy, and are willing to give it away to anyone who can ID it. I wouldnt want to have it in my home, but I am curious what it is, and thought someone on here may want it.

That's neat looking. Most garden spiders only last one year though. Even when kept inside they will expire mid winter. Put it out in your yard to keep the other bugs away.

They emailed me and I haven't gotten back to them yet. IMO, not a clear enough image for ID, but not dangerous.
The trend is to post names and numbers of "pets" here. That seems...um...bulky.

I can ID it, but I don't want it. I only keep salticid spiders.

    Araneidae
    Araneus marmoreus

Common and locally very abundant. They can be found with different colour patterns/morphs.

I second what Stewjoe said: release it in your yard.

I have recently been coming across a lot of large spiders in the house lately (larger than what we normally see in the house). I was able to get a picture of one (though somewhat blurry) and I'm thinking it is either a Funnel Web Grass Spider or a Wolf Spider. To me, it looks more like a Funnel Web grass spider and I looked both up, but they seem to have a lot of similarities, so I don't know. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!

it definately has 8 legs, beyond that it's a nice blurry blob.
