2012 Rattlesnake Researcher for a Day!

The Alberta Reptile & Amphibian Society is proud to once again present "Rattlesnake Researcher For A Day" this fall. In order to try and accomadate everyone's schedule, we have 2 dates available. Please vote on what date will work best for you! For anyone who is not familiar with it, see the full details below!


Join snake researcher Adam Martinson on a search for prairie rattlesnakes and bullsnakes in Dinosaur Provincial Park. Assist in tagging and collecting important data on snake populations in the park. Meet other TARAS members. Visit one of Alberta's beautiful natural parks for a once in a lifetime experience!


Although sightings are not guaranteed, on previous trips participants have found snakes every time. Each individual has had the opportunity to safely hold a rattlesnake, our Spring 2011 trip saw multiple handleable bullsnakes.


Trip cost is $40 and includes round trip transportation to Dinosaur Provincial Park and dinner. 100% of the charge is matched by TARAS and donated to Adam's research which amounts to $80 per participant. He has used the funds from past trips to purchase tags and equipment for his ongoing study.


You must be a member in order to attend. Memberships can be purchased in conjunction with the trip purchase. 14 and older.

I'd like to say yes, but I really have no idea what this next month is looking like for me yet. I didn't mean to ignore you, I attempted to reply on my phone but apparently it didn't post it... Do you have anyone from Edmonton yet?
